Watch as a man, ummm, gives "birth" to his twin.
Note: this video is not for the weak stomach crowd.

Man Attempts Rocket Launch From His Butt
A 22 year old British subject brought new meaning to the term "fire in the hole" by attempting to launch a rocket from his anal launch pad.
In a "Houston, we have a problem" moment, the rocket failed to lift off. When authorities arrived, they found the rocket still on, I mean in, the launch pad.
One scorched colon later, authorities said the man was fortunate to be alive. Also, an ambulance service spokesman noted that the victim's colon could have exploded due to trapped methane gas.
I guess a rocket will never replace a bowl of yummy Colon Blow.
I'll bet this guy won't be eating hot sauce any time soon.
Let the sophmoronity begin!

Go Ask Alice
There's been speculation and talk about artificial intelligence. Can we teach computers to think? Will humankind slip into a virtual world and displace human contact? If so, what damage will occur within the human psyche?
My daughter made me aware of ALICE, an artificial intelligence which resides on the web. You can go ask Alice questions and conduct a reasonable chat with her. Later, come back and tell CTCN readers about your Alice experience.

Pig Heads, Pig Heads,
Roly Poly Pig Heads
Here's something you don't see every day.
On Halloween night in Western Germany, a semi spilled two tons of pig heads on the highway.
"Oh look Hans, there are so many wonderful pig heads on the autobahn".
I'm wondering where two tons of pig heads were headed. A schnitzel factory? A Halloween masquerade ball? The Say It With Swine boutique? The movie set for I Was A Teenage Pighead?
At press time, Carrie White was unavailable for comment.

Joyriding Teen Swipes Bus
I've written about teenage joyriding in Coshocton when three boys swiped a steam engine.
Now, a 15 year old unlicensed Florida boy has been arrested for joyriding in a bus. Apparently, he pilfered the bus and picked up paying fares along a bus route.
Authorities were not amused as this is the wayward lad's second arrest for bus joyriding. Maybe, this kid is the next Ralph Kramden.

Criss Angel Walks Through Glass
I remember a babysitter from years ago who swore magicians were minions of Ol' Nick.
I'm certain if she had seen Criss Angel and his mind blowing magic, she would have been convinced that Angel might be reading directly from the satanic playbook.
In this video, Criss Angel moves through solid glass.

Fisherman Gone Awry
I've never understood the quest for fishing immortality.
In the past, I've written about fisherman who risk jail time by cheating while competing in fishing tournaments.
Yet another fisherman has been caught cheating. This fisherman, who coveted the heaviest smallmouth bass record, stuffed lead weights into the fish prior to weigh in. I guess something seemed kind of fishy and six state officials investigated this for a month!
Certainly, these people have exuded more energy and time on investigating a fish than they will for the upcoming congressional elections. After all, fish are important.

The Unborn 101
Who are the most influential people who were never born?
According to authors of The 101 Most Influential People Who Were Never Born, #1 is the Marlboro Man. From that point, there is a cornucopia of pop culture icons.
You can read the list here, and let the arguments begin.
Of course, I'll never agree that J.R. Ewing (#63), who's now forgotten, exerts more influence that Vito Andolini (The Godfather) or Tony Montana (say hello to my little friends), who didn't rate a ranking?
Where's the Bogeyman? For crying out loud, the Bogeyman (who should be top ten) has scared the crap out of humans, in numerous cultures, for centuries and he didn't warrant a place on the list? Parents whip out the Bogeyman every time a kid gets out of line. Many of those who made the list, including Frankenstein, Mr. Hyde, and the aforementioned J.R. Ewing are Bogeyman variations.
"You better do your homework or J.R. Ewing will force you into bankruptcy, sleep with your wife, and re-possess your baseball card collection".
CTCN readers...who do you think should be on the list? How about a re-arranged top ten?

The Coshocton Fair In 1917
October 1917--The Coshocton Fair had a couple unusual attractions in 1917.
As advertised in the Coshocton Morning Tribune, you could see an "extraordinary attraction" by seeing Loretta, The Spider Girl. She was one of "the most wonderful human beings on exhibition". The ad claimed that the 18 year old Loretta weighed a mere 11 pounds.
If Loretta wasn't to your liking, you could see the world's largest living steer which weighed in at a whopping 3,300 pounds. The steer was called "an educational sight for all".
I wondered if the fair steer might be the famous Old Ben, the two ton behemoth from Kokomo, Indiana. But alas, Ben died in 1910.

Teacher's Win Germiest Job Award
I never would have guessed it, but teacher's have the dirtiest jobs, and I'm not referring to Debra LaFave.
Although, when you consider that they interact with germ infested, booger eating, dirty handed kids all day, it's easy to understand why teachers are under a constant bacteria barrage. I suppose at the first sign of a bird flu outbreak, teachers will have to dress like Homer Simpson at the nuclear plant.
#8 on the list, publicist, certainly confused me. I didn't think the list factored in morals and lack of truth telling.
One more thing. As I perused the list, I didn't see drive up window worker. Talk about a germy profession. I sure wouldn't want to take change from a butt scratching, snot wiping on the hand contractor type who just had his hand down a porta-john because he saw something shiny.

Deer Gone Wild
This is for my buddy, the North Side Billboard Star.
When you're dreaming about your next deer hunt, you need to remember this video.
Next time you hunt one of these bad boys, remember to bring a set of boxing gloves, eh?

Python Swallows Ewe
Here's a story with a major ewe factor.
A python in Malaysia gorged itself on a pregnant sheep. After the dinner (with no mint jelly), the python found itself stranded in the middle of the road.

Cat Fight With Dead Dog, Part II
You may recall a past post about a St. Louis area woman who was arrested for allegedly beating another woman with a dead Chihuahua puppy.
Yesterday, the charged woman was found guilty of third degree assault and trespassing. She could face up to eighteen months in jail.
Methinks somebody could use a little anger management therapy.

Intersex Fish: Breaking The Gender Bonds?
When George Washington crossed the Potomac, he had no idea that some day Potomac male fish would turn "intersex".
Scientists have reported that numerous male bass, both small and largemouth, have turned "intersex" and carry eggs. Does this indicate a that bass have thrown off their defined gender roles and are in the midst of fish sexual revolution?
The same scientists have indicated that various pollutants may have interrupted the scaly dudes endocrine system and caused them to develop female characteristics.
This has me wondering about the fish around these parts. Will the Muskingum river begin to host buck toothed, transsexual fish? If you eat one of the "intersex" fish, how will you, personally, be affected? In the interest of protecting the local fisherman population, I've developed this "intersex" fish checklist. If your fish matches these characteristics, by all means, throw it back and let it swim to Zanesville.
- Does your fish wear any type of makeup such as bright red lipstick, face powder, or have an unusual French perfume odor?
- When pulling your fish from the water, was said fish humming or whistling a Barbara Streisand tune?
- Did your fish seem immaculately groomed and well mannered?
- After throwing your fish onto the boat, did the fish begin to tidy up your tackle and nets?
- Was the fish bitchy and demand to be thrown back into the river?

Vote For The Stupidest Man of The Year

Truly stupid moments and moronic behavior deserve recognition, too. Let's face it, if the movie types can coerce us into a five hour love me puke-a-thon, then dummies rate a few minutes of our time.
Hence, the 4th Annual World Stupidity Awards.
Unlike the Academy Awards, you can vote the Stupidest Man of the Year, the Dumbest Moment, and the Stupidest Movie. Plus, additional categories exist for your voting pleasure. I cast my votes, how about you?

Urban Legends Debunked
How do urban legends begin? You know...wild stories which seem to have credibility because someone you know, and perhaps trust, relays the tale to you.
Coshocton has a couple stories which have grown into urban legends, Cletus Reese and Mary Stockum. I'll never forget the first time I heard the Reese story; a demented man cruising up and down Coshocton county roads in search of broken down cars with innocent victims. The Reese legend had grown into a horrendous nine murders and a cannabalistic chow down.
Talk to some are long timers and you'll hear a totally different story. Why did the Reese murders grow into a more horrific urban legend? Live Science takes a stab at why and wherefore of the urban legend phenomena. Once you've completed the story, take a look at their list of top debunked urban legends.
Once you've ingested the info, call your cousin and say, "Hey, I thought you said you knew someone who knew someone who _____."

Just as I promised, here's a video for those of you who studied your words.
This video features a guy who coughs and his head drops to the middle of his chest. Strange, yes, but also priceless.
