May 1912--Two young Coshocton ladies earned themselves a buck after tossing a bagged tomcat into the Muskingum River. The tomcat had been terrorizing and killing chickens when he was bagged by an unnamed gentleman. The gent added stones to the bag, paid the girls, and bid adieu to the felonius feline. The hardhearted girls gathered up the nerve and flinged the soon-to-be fish food feline into his watery grave.
