Life's Little Miracles

June 1900--Occasionally, we forget the amazement our great grandparents must of felt when witnessing or experiencing things we find common. Take for instance, the story about the Hub's new electric sign, which appeared in June 1900:

The handsome new electric sign over the windows of the Hub Clothing company in the Forbes building is the object of universal comment and admiration; Stanley and son being complimented freely for their enterprise in adding light to that part of Main street and so well advertising their business.

The sign is made up of 69 incandescent lights of good candle power and when the work is complete, will alternate letter, by letter, giving it a handsome appearance. In present, and in the future, no one can miss finding the Hub.
