July 1911--In an exciting display, local fruit dealer Pete Angelone showed Coshocton his petrified watermelon. The dark green, hard-as-a-rock watermelon, sat in front of Angelone's Main Street fruit stand and became a celebrity of sorts.
In other news, a local Main St. paint dealer painted a bench and invited Coshoctonians to watch as it dried--ed.
