May 1912--Doodle Wilcox, a delerium tremen sufferer who had been released from the Coshocton jail, visited his ex-wife and assaulted her. The iron fisted Mayor Cassingham had warned Doodle to stay out of trouble or he'd get a one way ticket to the Canton work house. Doodle didn't, and Mayor Cassingham gave him 50 days to work house it out.
