Popular Science Best of What's New

Yesterday's post about Time's top inventions now gives way to Popular Science's Best of What's New 2006.

One item on the list, McAfee Site Advisor, gets a positive nod from me. I've used the free add-on today and have been impressed with the results. You'll be amazed at the number of questionable sites which reside on the web.

If you fly much, you'll want to check out Farecast which tells you the optimum time to purchase your plane ticket.

The Alpha Nail looks as though it will have interesting application in disaster prone areas. I'm curious how well it works with nail pops.

Potential uses for the HP Memory Spot could be groundbreaking.

There's plenty more to look at including the Bugatti Veryon 16.4, and the $130 XO laptop.
