August 1911--County Commisioner McNulty Dixon was injured when his horse and rig fell over an embankment after the horse beacme frightened of an automobile.
According to the Daily Age, McNulty ended up bruised and battered after being dragged beneath the wrecked buggy for a considerable distance. The auto driver was "driving at a mad rate of speed" and tooted his horn causing the horse to become frightened.
At press time, Dixon was considering a lawsuit against the offending driver.
