Couple Struck By Backward Moving Train

April 1896--At the corner of 7th and Orange Streets, a couple riding in their wagon were struck by a backward moving train. The horses and husband were thrown clear of the train, but the wife was pulled beneath the train and dragged for sixty yards. An irony of fate; after being dragged by the train, her body came to rest in front of her brother's home. She was buried at Wills Creek Catholic burial ground(now named Our Lady of the Lourdes). RIP Rachel Dolick.
