Fish Caught On Public Road

September 1911--If you read yesterday's post about the major storm which blew through the county, you'll appreciate this.

The Coshocton Daily Age reported that flooding across "Coshocton's famous speedway", the Canal Lewisville road, turned the road into a full blown fisherman's paradise. Numerous fish were swimming between the river and backwater across the road.

Once discovered, an army of fisherman, armed with poles and nets, were scooping up fish as fast as possible. Most of the caught fish were carp, but a large number of catfish were netted too.

Fishing By Light

This interesting video shows two men fishing with nothing more than a light. The fish jump right into the boat. No kidding. Really.
