October 1917--The Coshocton Morning Tribune reported that William and Frank Gosser asked the Ohio supreme court to reverse judgement in an appeals case which Fanny Burns of Cleveland was awarded stock worth $100,400 in the Pope Gosser Company.
The stock was left to Burns by Charles Gosser, president of the company, who had died a year before. The relatives claimed that the stock should have been part of the assets of the estate.
