July 1908--Fourth of July merriment started a fire. As reported in the Coshocton Daily Age, the skirt of a young Coshocton lady, Miss Held, caught on fire after a group of pranksters tossed a firecracker beneath her skirt.
She walked into the suit department of the Fountain with her skirt and petticoats on fire. After the fire was extinguished, it was noted the fire had burned a hole a foot in diameter and burned the petticoats
