July 1911--Three unidentified Coshocton girls swiped a horse and buggy for the purpose of joyriding .
According to the Coshocton Daily Age, Frank Leach of Keene had tied his rig to a hitching post on Third street. When returning, Leach was surprised to see his buggy and three girls riding away. Leach promptly contacted police who set out to catch the 3 Banditas.
The police, in an automobile, searched the city, but could not locate the rig. They headed to the south and finally located the rig at the Brown farm. The officer's surmised the rig had been driven hard based on the sweaty horse's haggard appearance.
Leach's rig was returned and the 3 Banditas maintained their anonymity.
