July 1911--Two young girls were attacked by an unknown man while they picked blackberries on Johnson hill. The man attempted to rip clothing from one of the girls while the other shrieked for help. Fortunately, on the hill's other side, Ed Taylor heard the girl's screaming and dashed over the hill scaring away the assailant. Both frightened girls were not injured and police received a detailed description of the attacker.
