June 1911--16 year old Dorothy Shryock became the unwilling focus in a wild west moment while crossing Randles bridge. According to the Coshocton Daily Age, she was reaching forward to use her whip and fell over the dash of the carriage. She was dragged across the bridge before her seven year old brother could stop stop the horse.
Fortunately, she was not seriously injured because her "heavy hair" cushioned the basketball-like motion her head made while bouncing across the bridge. Horse 2, Dorothy 0.
