Titanic Sets Sail

While reading through Coshocton Daily Age microfiche from 1912, I encountered the Titanic disaster. I have no intention of regurgitating a well documented story, but I have found the story fascinating when placed in the 1912 context. The Titanic was a major event before the sinking. Local papers featured front page stories about the ship's departure. Once the ship became a disaster, the Titanic dominated the front page for the month's remainder. As the next few days progress, I'll feature Titanic article bits from 1912.
