Riding The Rails

April 1911--Ten local youths were placed on probation for hopping a passenger train along Orange Street. The boys acquired the habit of riding the train to the hill station and were observed by authorities on several occasions. Judge Ashman gave the boys a severe reprimanding before placing them on probation.
