March 1912--A prominent Coshocton doctor, who had been missing for days, was found "cold in death" lying along a fence near his brother's farm. Evidence indicated that Dr. William Barcroft became entangled in a wire fence near his brother's vacant home and perished due to exposure on Wednesday evening March 20. The doctor's body was found Saturday March 23 by his brother, a town grocer, and a posse of friends.
