Peanut butter and jelly, the former cornerstone of every kid's diet (now it's a soft drink and super size fries), deserves a day of celebration. Most Ohioans don't know, or forget, that the nation's oldest peanut butter maker, Krema, is based in Columbus. You put that together with Ohio based Smucker's and you've got the makings of an Ohio Peanut Butter and Jelly Hall Of Fame.
If you want a more cosmopolitan feel to your PB & J, don't forget to visit the famous Peanut Butter & Co., where you can scarf down the "Elvis". It's located in Manhattan's Greenwich Village.
As you know, peanut butter induces a certain fanatacism among Americans, although there's one group who abused their lost peanut butter privileges.
Enjoy your day, with a PB & J!
