December 1852--A Fight--A few days since, our city was disgraced by a general row and knock-down performance, in which many received bloody noses, black eyes, etc. One man, with a cigar in his mouth, was knocked stiff as a mackerel; he fell upon his back, and lay in that position some five or ten minutes, the cigar held firmly between his teeth, and one end of it pointing poetically to the skies! The row originated, it is said, among some Irish laborers. CAUSE--"Absence in Coshocton of the Maine Liquor Law!"
