March 20, 1912--New Yorker Frank MacGowan arrived in Coshocton to announce the establishment of a Coshocton electric street car line. MacGowan was quoted by the Coshocton Daily Age, "The line is financed and will absolutely be built."
The trolley cars, patented by Beach-Edison, operated on their own storage battery system.
The plan called for local service which would eventually extend to West Lafayette and Conesville.
