I must confess, here in the valley of crows, finding unusual (think cool, arty) yet tasteful furnishings meant shopping in other communities.
The drive has changed now that Terri and Amanda Brewer have opened I Can Only Imagine Antiques and Collectables, located at 617 Main Street. There's strong word-of-mouth buzz about the store (and rightly so). The duo have carved out a unique niche of offering vintage used furnishings with decorating ideas. Terri says, "Our goal is to offer style and class with tasteful decorating ideas."
One of the first things I noticed when visiting I Can Only Imagine is the relaxing, laid back atmosphere. There's plenty of eye candy for those who are artistically inclined and the Brewer's are expert at putting together interesting, funky displays. We felt like we were in a big city boutique without the big city prices. If you're into eclectic style, then this place is for you.
The store is located in the old billiard room between the YWCA and Serenity Tea Room. Store hours 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Grab a friend and head over to I Can Only Imagine.
