March 4, 1912--A certain lawlessness seemed to exist in Coshocton during the early 20th century. In the first three months of 1912, a rash of burglaries, a fire demon, barroom brawls, and street crime kept bloodhounds continually on the street. It must have been quite a sight to see bloodhounds sniffing all over town.
On this date, a purse snatcher made off with a woman's wallet and $10. The solution: bring out the bloodhounds. By the way, the bloodhounds found no one.
