Then: Rash Of Burglaries Sweeps Coshocton

Feb. 22, 1912--Anderson Pharmacy, located in downtown Coshocton, fell victim to burglary. Apparently, the burglar crawled through the store's transom and made off with cash.

The week before, two grocery stores and a meat market were burglarized. Again, the transom seemed to be the way in.

Merchants began grumbling about poor police protection and the bloodhounds were brought out. The bloodhounds were kept busy. Multiple burglary investigations and the Roscoe Fire Demon kept Coshocton's street filled with the floppy eared detectives.
