Then: Panhandlers Locked Up And Threatened
Feb. 13, 1912--Four panhandlers (
it's interesting how many different ways the newpapers referred to homeless people
) felt the mayor's sting. They were locked up and told by the mayor to leave town or shovel snow. They left town...in a hurry.
