Feb. 26-27, 1912--Coshocton authorities had their hands filled when a brawl erupted at George Barnes saloon(6th & Main). When police arrived and interrupted the pugilists, the crowd turned on the police. The police, now fearful for there well being, withdrew their billets and pounded a few ruffians to regain control of the crowd.
The next day, one of the arrested, Warner Hall, stood before Mayor Cassingham and was fined $25 and 20 days at the Canton Work House. His offense? His use of profane, licentious and vulgar language.
