Coshocton Teen Poetry Slam This Week

April is National Poetry Month and the Coshocton Public Library Young Adult Department is celebrating with a Poetry Slam for teens. On April 20th at 7:00, four poets from each area high school, selected by English teachers, will compete to determine the top teen poets in the county. The audience is encouraged to cheer their favorites, and judges selected from the audience will vote to advance poets to the final round. The winning poet will be awarded a trophy to take back to his/her school, and cash prizes will be awarded to the final four poets. The public is invited to come hear the talent of local teens and students are invited to come cheer their school’s poets to victory.

For more information, call 622-0956 or visit the Library’s Teen Blog at http://yablog.coshoctonpl.org/teens/.
