Roscoe Village Civil War Re-Enactment This Weekend

Looks as though this weekend will be a sweatfest, especially for those hardy souls who'll be participating in the Civil War re-enactment at Roscoe Village.

Hot, humid, and miserable as they sit in authentic period uniforms (wool), these re-enactors give you a solid idea what our forefathers experienced during the the mid nineteenth century. You won't find air conditioners or fans in their tents.

I've attended the re-enactment a few times and I always enjoy the Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln.

Make sure you visit and bring your kids/grandkids.
